Rose Gallaway is a cello teacher and performer based in Leeds. After graduating from the University of Leeds in 2015 with BA (Hons) Music (Int.) 2:1. Rose has worked in education in a range of environments including as a Teaching Assistant for SEN children ages 11-16, and as a peripatetic cello and violin teacher in primary and secondary schools in Leeds and Wakefield.
Music is extremely important to Rose and playing cello brings her joy and meaning in her life. She therefore understands the importance of sharing music with others, and the benefits that music can have on our lives. As a teacher Rose highly values the relationships between her and her students and enjoys accompanying people on their personal journey of learning an instrument or learning music.
After attending a Training Placement with North Yorkshire Music Therapy Centre and she has now become part of the team. Rose says: “I am looking forward to working with people and helping and supporting them to feel valued and achieve their personal goals through the power of music”.
