Starting salary will be in the range £32,300 to £35,572 per annum

About North Yorkshire Music Therapy Centre

We are a registered Charity, based in Hovingham, York and we provide music therapy services in the North Yorkshire Area. For more information about our Charity, please visit the website www.music-therapy.org.uk.

We are expanding our team and we are seeking a qualified Music Therapist who is passionate about transforming lives, to work with clients in different settings.

The post will consist of a full-time position within a supportive team. Some sessions will take place in clinical settings such as Day Centres, Care Homes or SEN Schools, while others will be more community based.

We are looking to develop specialisms within the team and in time, the Therapist appointed will be mostly focusing on Dementia, Mental Health and Research linked to these areas of practice.

The successful candidate will be positive, hard-working, enthusiastic and have a passion for music therapy.

You will be able to work flexibly and independently to organise music therapy sessions. You will also be required to assess and evaluate your work, compile reports and feedback to parents/carers and professionals, when necessary.

You will be prepared to promote and support the development of the Charity and will be an excellent communicator who is well organised and maintains high professional standards at all times.

You will also demonstrate a good knowledge of HCPC guidelines.

Ideally you will have access to your own transport as you will be expected to work at various sites.

You will be subject to safer recruitment checks including DBS.
