We change lives with music therapy

We run music therapy sessions, events and workshops across North Yorkshire to promote well-being. Sessions take place both in the community and in our Centre. We also provide on-line resources for teachers, parents and carers to use.

We have provided music therapy to people across North Yorkshire for over 30 years

You can visit our Centre where we provide therapy in our dedicated music therapy space, or one of our therapists can travel to you and provide music therapy in a home or other setting.

Make a referral

We are happy to take referrals from doctors, other health professionals, teachers and self-referrals. To make a referral for music therapy, please complete one of our online forms from the menu on the right. Once we’ve received your referral form we’ll get in touch to discuss your needs in more detail and arrange an introductory session.

We provide individual and group music therapy sessions.

It is possible to purchase the service for a full or a half day as well. Following the BAMT recommendations, in a full day service, the therapist is able to offer five individual sessions and one open group session or six individual sessions. In a half day service, the therapist is able to offer two individual sessions and one open group sessions or three individual sessions.

“Music therapy has demonstrated quite stunning results in our school in improving concentration, attention, communication and enjoyment for pupils with severe learning disabilities, autism and communication difficulties.”
