Become A Friend
The Charity benefits greatly from its many Friends through their enthusiastic support, both financially and through spreading awareness in the community about our work.
North Yorkshire Music Therapy Centre (est. 1989) is a registered charity dedicated to promoting the health and wellbeing of individuals across North Yorkshire through the power of music therapy. We provide services for people of all ages and abilities, from children to the elderly. Whether at our Music Therapy Centre or in community and clinical settings across the region, our work is transforming lives.
Our highly trained, professionally registered music therapists and community musicians deliver tailored sessions, both for individuals and groups. Through these sessions, we help clients build on their strengths, address their needs, and reach personal health and wellbeing goals.
In addition, we offer workshops, training, and public talks to raise awareness and promote the benefits of music therapy, while contributing to vital research in the field.
Last year with the support of our friends we received over two thousand pounds in donations. This incredible support enabled us to fund six weeks of full-day weekly services at one of our special needs schools; provide two months of weekly group sessions for adults with learning disabilities and to offer two months of weekly group sessions for older people living with dementia and their carers. Your contributions make a real difference, and we are deeply grateful for your support.
By becoming a monthly donor, you can help us expand our reach and continue our vital work. Your regular donation will directly fund our therapy services, allowing us to support even more people in need and advance research into the positive impact of music therapy.
With your generosity, we can continue to grow our services and reach new communities, enhancing the wellbeing of individuals across North Yorkshire. Your commitment to supporting us monthly will play a pivotal role in enabling life-changing therapy through music.
